1、 Overview

The BY series V-cone flowmeter produced by our company is a new type of flowmeter with high precision, high stability, wide range ratio, and a wide range of measurable media.

2. Measurable media include liquids, gases, vapors, etc., covering almost all fluid media.

3. The high operating temperature of the fluid can reach 800 ℃, and the high pressure can reach 10.5Mpa.

If special materials are used for the watch body, the working temperature and pressure of the medium can be even higher.

5. The V-shaped conical flowmeter can measure a high Reynolds number of 5 million and a low Reynolds number of 8000 or even lower.

6. Generate a full-scale differential pressure signal ranging from less than 0.1 kPa to tens of kPa.

2、 Working principle

The patented product of cone flowmeter (also known as inner cone, V-cone, V-cone flowmeter) is a new generation of differential pressure flowmeter measuring instrument with high precision and stability. Like other differential pressure instruments, it is also based on the principle of flow continuity and Bernoulli equation to calculate fluid flow rate under operating conditions. We know that in the same closed pipeline, when the pressure decreases, the velocity will increase. When the medium approaches the cone, its pressure is P+. When the medium passes through the throttling area of the cone, the velocity will increase and the pressure will decrease to P -, as shown in Figure 1. Both P+and P - are led to the differential pressure transmitter through the pressure tap of the V-shaped cone flowmeter. When the flow rate changes, the differential pressure value will increase or decrease accordingly. That is to say, for stable fluids, the magnitude of the flow rate is directly proportional to the square root of the differential pressure. When the flow rate is the same, the larger the cone throttling area, the greater the differential pressure value generated.

3、 Characteristics

1. Has good accuracy (≤ 0.5%) and repeatability (≤ 0.1%).

2. Has a wide range ratio (10:1-15:1)

3. The self rectification function only requires a very short straight pipe section (front 1-3D and back 0-1D).

4. Self cleaning function, capable of detecting dirty and easily scaling fluids, suitable for media with high impurities such as blast furnace gas.

5. Self protection function, key parts of the throttle component do not wear out, and can maintain long-term stable operation.

6. Resistant to high temperature, high pressure, corrosion, and vibration.

7. The types of measurable fluids are very wide (liquid, gas, steam), and the flow measurement range is wide (small flow to large flow), suitable for pipelines ranging from DN15 to DN3000.

8. The structure design of the flowmeter is a fluid sweep type structure, which cannot intercept any gas, liquid or solid impurities carried in the fluid. It is very suitable for flow measurement of dirty fluids, such as coke oven gas, wet gas, etc

9. No movable parts

10. When fluid flows through an inner cone with a special profile, a boundary layer is formed around it and guides the fluid away from the edge of the cone tail, thereby reducing its likelihood of wear.

11. Measuring steam and hot water at the heat exchange station does not require a straight pipe section. Due to the small space of the heat exchange station, selecting a general flow meter requires a long straight pipe section, which affects the operating accuracy. It is used to measure blast furnace gas and has a self-cleaning effect. The pressure pipe is not easily blocked.

V-cone flowmeter composed of V-cone sensor and differential pressure transmitter

According to different user requirements, the supply of flow detection instruments composed of V-cone sensors and differential pressure transmitters is divided into two categories:

1. V-cone sensor

Only the detection part (V-cone and measuring pipeline) that provides differential pressure signals is provided, and differential pressure transmitters, three valve groups, and flow display parts are not provided. The output signal is differential pressure. Users are responsible for providing matching services themselves.

2. V-cone flowmeter

Composed of a V-cone sensor and a differential pressure transmitter. There are two types of structures: split type installation and integrated type installation.

The split type installation consists of independent V-cone sensors and differential pressure transmitters. The connection of the pressure pipe between the V-cone sensor and the differential pressure transmitter is completed by the user themselves. And differential pressure transmitters can be supplied together.

Integrated installation means that the differential pressure transmitter, three valve group, and V-cone sensor are already connected as a whole when the product leaves the factory. After purchasing the integrated V-cone flowmeter, users do not need to connect the pressure pipe when using it. If corresponding flow integrators, pressure transmitters, and temperature transmitters need to be connected, they can be supplied together.

Gas: Coke oven gas, blast furnace gas, city gas

Natural gas: including natural gas with a moisture content of 5% or more

Various hydrocarbon gases: alkanes, alkenes, and other gases

Corrosive gases: wet chloride gases, etc

Air: including air containing water, dust, compressed air, etc

Flue gas: flue gas emitted from various boilers and heating furnaces
